Giving Back

Enhanced Active Living's founder, Tim Cassidy, has made doing for others a long-time mission. His drive to serve was strengthened when, as an operator of Skilled Care Facilities, including a 281-bed facility in northern California, he led a team that lobbied and litigated against the California Department of Health that resulted in substantial changes to public policy. This experience is detailed in the leading chapter of Tim's book Uniting Principles (Measured by Asking What Would Jesus Do?).

Tim also founded Preventive Aging Centers, Inc., a non-profit with extensive Lifelong Learning and Intergenerational Programs. Since 1993, it has offered its programming on a low- to no-cost basis to churches and community organizations.

Enhanced Active Living's affiliate, Senior Consulting, LLC, predominantly works in the development of market-rate projects, but often volunteers and works in affordable and moderate-income housing. Such a project is currently underway, which will utilize 4% LIHTC bonds to develop 200 units of moderate- and affordable-income apartments.

Sites in New Jersey and Florida are being considered for a similar model for Senior Housing, as well as development of alternative models for seniors and residents of all ages. Our company is seeking the right partners that have experience with the relatively new Live Local Act in the State of Florida.
